THE SALON DE LA PAIX, VERSAILLES
The light shining into this room was the inspiration behind my Historic Houses series of paintings. I loved the bright orange light reflected on the gilded marble surfaces, refracted through crystal chandeliers and bouncing off the highly polished floor. I wanted to see if I could capture this in paint.
